Mini-Lessons and Activities in Response to COVID-19 Outbreak

Tuesday, March 20, 2020.  These are challenging times for all of us as we navigate the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak.  All of the schools we work with are closed, and our spring projects in California (San Diego and Richmond) have suddenly changed as distance learning is now the only safe way for teachers to interact with students.

The following mini-lessons and enrichment activities use WSE's archive of student films and photography as primary source materials.  The lessons require students to interact with those materials critically and artistically.  The lessons are thematically organized around basic human needs, and invite students to recognize and consider our common human similarities while identifying and appreciating our cultural differences.
