Art Boxes Project: Vermont Phase Complete

Students at the Lincoln Community School in Lincoln, Vermont are participating in the World Story Exchange through a project called Art Boxes.

First, art teacher Nancy McClaran worked with her students in grades 1-6 to make art projects ranging from drawings of Vermont, to hand paintings, to paper mache bumble bees, to Andy Goldsworthy-inspired natural sculptures.

Next, the art was boxed up and is being sent to two schools, one in Vietnam and one in ______.

Then, when Scott and Lindsay arrive at those schools they will present the art to the students.

Finally, Lindsay will lead art-making workshops for the students to create pieces reflective of their culture, place, personalities - and then, their art will be sent back to Vermont.
